This general election will decide our future for a generation: the most recent poll by YouGov forecasts a majority for the Conservative party – an outcome that would lead to an extreme version of Brexit which will take years and years for us to sort out.

BRISTOL NORTH WEST

Tactical voting recommendations:

Bristol North West is going to be a really close race between incumbent Labour MP Darren Jones and the Conservatives. Vote tactically for Labour to prevent the Conservative party from gaining a seat here.

This is a priority seat for us because it is so close and we need to persuade enough people to vote tactically.

BRISTOL EAST

Bristol East is currently held by Labour MP Kerry McCarthy. Kerry is likely to hold this seat regardless of tactical voting decisions so you don't need to vote tactically here.

BRISTOL SOUTH

Bristol South is currently held by Labour MP Karin Smyth. Karin is likely to hold this seat regardless of tactical voting decisions so you don't need to vote tactically here.

BRISTOL WEST

Alliances:

In Bristol West, the Liberal Democrats have stood down for the Green Party as part of the Unite to Remain pact. There is no risk of a Conservative win here, vote with your heart if you live in Bristol West.

FILTON & BRADLEY STOKE

Tactical voting recommendations:

Filton & Bradley Stoke is currently held by a Conservative MP who has campaigned consistently for a hard Brexit. Vote tactically for the Labour candidate, Mhairi Threlfall, to oust the Conservative incumbent.

KINGSWOOD

Tactical voting recommendations:

Kingswood is currently held by a Conservative MP. Vote tactically for Labour for the best chance of defeating this sitting MP.

THORNBURY & YATE

In Thornbury & Yate, the Green Party has stood down for Liberal Democrat Claire Young, as best placed to win this seat back from the Conservatives. Vote tactically for Liberal Democrats to stop the Conservatives retaining this seat.

WELLS

In Wells, the Green Party has stood down for former Liberal Democrat MP, Tessa Munt, as the candidate best placed to win this seat back from the Conservatives. If you usually vote for the Labour party, please lend your vote to the Liberal Democrats for this critical election.

BATH

Bath is currently held by Liberal Democrat MP Wera Hobhouse. Vote tactically for the Liberal Democrats to be sure of preventing the Conservatives gaining a seat here.

NORTH EAST SOMERSET

The recommendations for North East Somerset have just changed with different advice from different websites. It is not clear whether Labour or the Lib Dems are ahead so we are not able to offer advice for this constituency.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE

Tactical voting recommendations:

Weston-super-Mare is currently held by a Conservative MP. Unfortunately it is unlikely to be possible to unseat him but vote tactically for the Labour Candidate Tim Taylor for the best chance of doing so.

NORTH SOMERSET

The recommendations for North Somerset are split because Labour and the Lib Dems are very close in the polls. Sadly it is very unlikely that we can stop the Conservative incumbent being re-elected here even with tactical voting.
